AWARENESS OF 3D BODY-SCANNING AND PROSPECTIVE UPDATE OF INDONESIAN ANTHROPOMETRY FOR VIRTUAL FASHION DESIGN

It is a challenge for the designer and user in compromising perfect fit of fashion. This study addresses awareness users development two different methods fitting fashion product. The first one, it an individual anthropometric measurement, whereas second one assisted measurement. Based on Focused Group Discussion (FGD), showed that virtual technology was perceived as something new prospective future industry. Through prototyping using CLO3D, found result had relatively same manual has reduced measurement lead time significantly. In other words, deemed to be time-saving process, promoting “fitting product user” principle. supports good communication bridge between designers through 3D clothing also contributes Indonesian anthropometry updates.
